Put Yourself On Video
Without Going Live
Build a talking AI avatar of yourself, or a custom character, inside Google Gemini and Google Flow. Then hand it a script and watch it perform. 79 minutes, built live, recorded.

One Of These Is You
Tired of going live alone
- You know video works. You do not want to be on camera every single time
- You want something made ahead, ready to post on the days you are not up for it
- You have watched other creators use talking avatars and wondered how
Paying too much for avatars
- You are already paying a monthly avatar tool and it adds up
- You want to know if Google's option can do the same job
- You are not sure it is good enough yet. It is scary how good it is now
Too many tools, no start
- Gemini, Flow, Veo, Nano Banana. You do not know which door to open first
- You freeze chasing the perfect video before you publish anything
- You want one guided walkthrough instead of hours of scattered videos
A Quick Post Became
Hours Of Learning
I saw the new Gemini avatar and did what I always do. I dove in. What was going to be a quick, easy post became hours of me learning more than I thought I was going to learn. So I recorded the whole thing and taught it to the room.
"It is scary how good it is now."Two ways in. Your own face and voice, scanned from your phone in about a minute. Or a character you build from scratch, with a name, a voice and a personality. Both get handed a script and both perform it, eight seconds at a time, on Google's cheapest video model.
What We Built Live
Two avatars, one script, every click on screen. In this order.
Gemini settings, the Avatar option, the QR code, the selfie scan. Repeat the numbers, look left, look right. Done in a minute.
Type @ and your Gmail handle into a prompt. Out comes a short video of you at a birthday party.
The tour: creator tools, the community tab, where Avatars, Characters and Voices live in the media panel.
Paste a script into the Script Sizer. It tells you the word count, how many 8-second clips it needs, and what it will cost in credits.
Auto-generate on, 9:16, one generation at a time, and the cheapest model. The settings most people never open.
Attach your avatar with @, paste the dialogue, tell Flow to speak it exactly as written. Five 8-second clips in one batch.
The avatar inventing filler when the script ran short. Eyes drifting from the scan. A sign that changed between clips. You see the flaws, so you know how to catch them.
Cut a clip, re-insert a piece, use the last frame of one clip as the first frame of the next, download for CapCut or Canva.
The character generator: gender, age, style, personality, role. A Pinterest background merged in with Nano Banana Pro. A name and a voice.
Script Sizer again, master prompt again, one bad clip regenerated. Now you have two ways to make a video without a camera.
Here's What You Walk Away Owning
Every prompt and every tool I used is in the challenge kit, yours to keep. You are not memorising clicks, you are copying them.
- Paste it into Flow's Agent chat
- Attach your avatar or character with @
- Paste your dialogue, pick a delivery style
- Flow builds every 8-second clip for you
- Paste any script
- See the word count and how many clips it needs
- See the credits it will spend
- Trim before you generate, not after
- Fill in gender, age, look, style, personality, role
- Out comes the prompt that makes the character
- Drop in any background from Pinterest
- Give it a name and a voice, keep it forever
- Create Your Own Avatar guide, desktop and phone
- Create an AI Character Avatar guide
- The "10 ideas" prompt: I sell this, I see this person, give me 10 eight-second videos
- The 30-day practice list: change the place, the time, the outfit, the hands, the camera
- Both avatars built on screen, start to finish
- The flaws shown, not hidden
- One resources doc with the replay, the kit and every link
- Yours to keep
In My Own Words
Straight from the recording.
There's nothing invested. You're not like, oh my gosh, I have to get the perfect video to go do this.
On why to practise with itIf you don't have enough lines in there, sometimes the AI will make stuff up to fill up the video.
On the Script SizerThat just seems too much work, so I literally just decided to put it inside Flow, and it worked.
On the master promptAs soon as I see something really cool, I start diving into it.
On how this startedAs we very well know, AI does not always get it right, right?
On the drifting eyesI borrowed her stuff, and I'll give her credit because she created something really cool, but I added on to it.
On where the prompt came fromThe Room Had Questions
Tina Alexander already pays for a monthly avatar tool for her own videos. After the master prompt demo: "I had no idea it could do all this." She could see it on Pinterest and social right away.
Terri runs a group that needs small clips and does not always want to go live alone. She wanted "something on the side that's set out there that you can just put out." This is that.
And Terri did not like the captions on my clip. She said so. That is what a live room is for.

Questions
Do I need to be technical?
No. Everything is typing a prompt and clicking inside Gemini and Flow in your browser. No editing software required to follow along.
What does it cost to follow along?
Creating your avatar in Gemini is free. Generating video in Flow spends credits. Flow has free and paid tiers, and they change, so check Google's current plan before you start. The recording shows you the cheapest model and the settings that stop credits leaking.
Do I need my phone?
Yes, for one minute. The face and voice scan happens on the Gemini app on your phone, logged into the same Google account as your desktop. Everything else is easier on a desktop.
Can I make a character instead of using my face?
Yes. The second half of the recording builds Coffee Carol from scratch with the Character Generator, gives her a voice, and has her perform the same script.
What happens after I pay?
You get an email with your replay and the resources doc right away. The master prompt, the Script Sizer, the Character Generator, both guides and the replay, all in one place.
I am a VIP member. Do I pay $20?
No. VIP members pay $10. Your code is in the VIP Replay Room inside the community. Type it at checkout.
